What's Happening With the
Spanish Club!
The Spanish club students are learning how to say all the salutation words and sentences.
They also hear Spanish short songs regarding salutations and greetings. They are doing hands on activities that re-enforce vocabulary words. They are going to be read in Spanish and act out the character from the book.
They will also pick a Hispanic country and write about it in an essay. They will also have a poster board with things that relate to that country chosen.
At the last day of Spanish club, the children will have a taste of a Hispanic pastry. |
| TalkEnglish.com provides free lessons for students (or anyone) looking for help in speaking English fluently. The site's "click, listen, and repeat" feature allows students to click on any of its 5,000 audio files, listen to a native English speaker, and repeat after the audio segment. There is also an interactive conversation tool on the site that enables students to engage in a practice conversation by using the hundreds of conversation dialogs in the database. In addition, students can upload a voice recording to be analyzed by a native English speaker who will then provide personalized feedback. |

There are no special requirements to be in Spanish Club - just an interest in learning about Spanish culture and life.
Most members are third graders here at UPE.
We encourage everyone to come out and join the club!
The club meets every Friday afternoon in Rm 13 at 2PM.
Contact Ms Raimondo, the club sponsor, for more information.
