The Main Office provides information you and your child/children need to know about the daily operation of UPE.

In addition, a school newsletter (Hoof Beats) announcing activities, events and other happenings at UPE will come home with your child on a regular basis.

You will also receive periodic progress report/s for your child/children. Please take the time to read this information, the newsletter and sign the progress reports.

Also, please take the time to discuss homework, notes in the planner and progress reports with your child/children.

SCHOOL DAY

The elementary school day is six hours and fifteen minutes. It is important that your child is on time and in class every day for the entire school day.

Whenever possible, scheduling your child’s appointments outside the school day insures he/she benefits from a full day of instruction.

EDUCATIONAL RECORDS

Parents and other authorized persons have the right to review the contents of the child’s educational records. Arrangements to review records may be made in the school office.

TEXTBOOKS

Textbooks are on loan to students free of charge. However, students are responsible for lost or damaged books and will be expected to pay for them. Other children will use these books the next year, so please take care of them.
