Welcome to Union Park Elementary School

My name is Stacey Merritt. I am delighted to introduce myself to you as the new principal of Union Park Elementary. My husband Mark and I are the proud parents of two children who attend Orange County Schools. My son, Brendon, is thirteen and entering eighth grade and my daughter, Logan, is ten and soon to be a fifth grader. As parents, we share with our children the endless possibilities waiting for them as adults.

I am proud to be part of the Union Park Elementary family - a dedicated team of teachers, staff members and parents who have high expectations for all of our children.  Our commitment to excellence has led Union Park to be an "A" rated school.  We have set high standards and our school is a place of higher learning.  Congratulations and thank you to everyone who made this achievement possible.  I am confident we will continue being successful this year with our dedicated staff and your support.

In order for us to continue achieving our goals, we need you.  Parents and friends of Union Park can help our instructional program by becoming ADDitions volunteers. We welcome your service and encourage you to become involved.

I also encourage you to join our PTA, SAC and PLC. 

The first day of school for the 2008-2009 school year is Monday, August 18.   We are looking forward to another fantastic school year where our fine staff will continue to focus on quality teaching to ensure all students are learning and achieving every day.
