Fifth graders said goodbye to 2007 and hello to the New Year and all the wonderful events it has in store for them!
In their final months at U.P.E. they will visit the Orange County Jail and graduate from the D.A.R.E. program.
We know they will conquer FCAT and then compete against each other during the annual Field Day Events.
The best will shine through and emulate the likes of Martin Luther King, Jr. and John Kennedy as they try to match wits and win the Oration Contest.
It will be like a rematch between Rocky and Mr. T when they take on the teachers during the anuual softball game versus the UPE teachers.
And the very next week all the upper grades go bowling with our very own Coach Kuhl.
And of course, the best thing happens on the last school day of May- the 5th Grade Dance. This year’s theme is a “A Red Carpet Event!”
Think “ Hollywood” and you’ll get the picture, literally. As you can see, 5 th graders are going out in style.
